Hack didn’t have any ideas today and since My Man Godfrey is one of my favorite movies and it struck me how some of my favorite Jonny Pals would be perfectly cast in it, I pitched this. Hack agreed to write it on the provision that the mother be depicted as Marx Bros. movie grande dame Margaret Dumont.
